BLOCKHOUSE

               Blockhouse, similar to these, was used by American Army during Battle of Plattsburgh.  It was located at the lower end of

               Hamilton Street.  The rafters were later used to build the floor beams and rafters of the MacDougal House on the corner of

               Brinkerhoff and Pleasant Street.
